Mayors Cup/Joe Rainone Softball Tourney

Joey tourney 3

Please Join Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the City of Everett for this 2 day softball tournament, in Memory of those City workers who are no longer with us.......
Teams from DPW to City Hall,  the Police Dept & Fire Dept. along with the School Dept and the family of the late DPW worker Joe Rainone, vie for the Mayor's Cup in this 2 day battle, with team entry fees going to the Joey Rainone Forever22 Scholarship Fund for 4 Everett High School graduating seniors. Joe was an Everett DPW worker who passed away at the age of 44, while skating at the Everett Rink in Feb. 2016. Joey was one of Everett's greatest son's, an outstanding Everett High Athlete and great person, loved by all,he was also an avid softball player and one of Everett's best, so the Mayor decided to re-shape the Mayor's Cup tournament, using Joe's name as an impetus to remember all those who have served this City so well, and were unfortunately taken from us far too soon. This tournament is for all of them. Admission to the park is free and there will be fun to be had for the entire family, so please come on down to Glendale Park and enjoy this great community event.
