- Everett Seniors celebrate Halloween
at The Connolly Center Mayor Carlo
DeMaria’s Council on Aging along with
Mystic Valley Elder Services has planned
a special Halloween dinner/dance on Monday
October 31, 2011. Please join us for a special
lunch provided by MVES and dance to the
sounds of “THE MELTONES”. Our
event begins at 11:30am. Lunch will be a
meatloaf dinner complete with dessert. Reservations
MUST be made October 24 through October
27th from 9:30am until 11:30 am by calling
Donna at 617 394 2391. If you choose not
to order lunch with us, you can bring your
own , but you still need to make reservations.
COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED as prizes will be

- FREE SENIOR MATINEE FOR OCTOBER
Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging
invites you to attend our FREE monthly movie
matinee on Tuesday October 25, 2011, 3pm
at The Connolly Center. Keeping in the Halloween
theme, our feature presentation will be
the 1974 comedy classic “ Young Frankenstein”
starring Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle. Join
us for this hilarious spoof on the classic
movie about Dr. Frankenstein and his “monster”.

- FLU CLINIC FOR
SENIORS SCHEDULED
Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Council on Aging
in collaboration with The City of Everett
Health Department is happy to announce o
FREE FLU Clinic for seniors on Wednesday
November 2, 2011 from 9:30am until 11:30am
in the conference room at The Connolly Center.
Seniors are urged to get a Flu shot each
year. All you need to do is bring your Medicade/
Care Card or Health Insurance cards and
wear short sleeves. For more information

- Council on Aging prepares for
November Senior Social
Please join Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s
Council on Aging for it’s monthly
Senior Social on Wednesday November 18,
2011 at 12 noon. This month the council
has chosen a catered meal for a traditional
Thanksgiving turkey dinner with all the
fixings. Ticket sales for this exciting
event is November 8, 9 & 10 from 10am
until 12 noon in the Council on Aging Office.
As always, you will be dancing to the sounds
of Everett’s own, “The Swingers”.

- Christmas at The Beacon Resort
Mayor Carlo DeMaria’s Counci on Aging
celebrates Christmas at The Beacon Resort
in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Join us for this two day trip, December
7 & 8th 2011. Our luxury motor coach
departs The Connolly Center December 7 at
8:30am. Spend two days with us at Franconia
Notch and enjoy one of the many activities
available to you. Whether you enjoy playing
bingo or would like to take a dip in one
their indoor polls there is something for
you. The trip includes 1 night accommodations,
breakfast, lunch and a candlelight dinner

- GOOD EATS
AT MAYOR’S ANNUAL SENIOR BBQ
Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr., his wife Stacy,
kids Carlo, Caroline and Alexandra, along
with an energetic team of City Hall employees
were happy to welcome over 300 guests to
the Connolly Center last Wednesday night.
The Annual Senior Barbeque was a huge success,
and the Mayor thanked the crowd as well
as the City Hall volunteers for helping
keep the community such a vibrant place
to live for people of all ages. (view
