POLL WORKERS NEEDED

Working at the polls is a demanding but vital part of making democracy work. We are always looking for people to work at our polling places. We recruit and train 144 workers for a citywide election. If you would like to serve, please call Assistant City Clerk Ellen Carr at 617-394-2229 or fill out the form below:

The Hours - The polls open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM. Election Officers are required to be at the polling place from 6:30 AM to approximately 9:00 PM. You will be given two one-hour breaks during the day for meals.

Compensation - $150.00 for Wardens and Clerks (those in charge of the precinct) and $100.00 for Inspectors.

Training Classes - Poll Workers are required to attend Training Classes, for which you will be paid an additional $25.00 if you serve Election Day.
