Independent
or Certified Contractors
Independent Contractors are also
known as Certified Contractors at
the Division of Capital Asset Management
(DCAM). Contractors wishing to submit
prime bids on public building projects
estimated to cost more than one
hundred thousand dollars ($100,000)
for the construction, reconstruction,
installation, demolition, maintenance,
or repair of any publicly owned
building must first be certified
by the Division of Capital Asset
Management (DCAM) Contractor Certification
Office.
Minority
or Woman Owned Certified Businesses
The State's Affirmative Marketing
Program in Public Contracting establishes
guidelines for the procurement of
goods and services by state agencies
with minority or woman owned businesses.
The State Office of Minority and
Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA)
certifies businesses for eligibility
under state and federal guidelines.
