The parking clerk is an appointee
of the mayor, with the approval of the city
council. The power and duties of the parking
clerk are outlined in the Massachusetts General
Laws, Chapter 90, sec 20A1/2. In short, the
parking clerk maintains and records all parking
violations, applies payment and late fees as
deemed on parking violations and holds hearings
where parking violators can be heard. The parking
clerk also issues residential parking stickers
and visitors placards.

STICKERS AVAILABLE IN JANUARY -
Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. and Parking Clerk
Paul Kelly remind car owners that Residential
Parking Stickers will be distributed free
of charge during the months of January and
February. When the stickers are officially
available, to speed processing at City Hall
the Parking Clerk requests residents to
bring the following: the expired 2009 sticker
(Orange sticker,) your valid Massachusetts
Vehicle Registration (must have Everett
Address.) Residents with leased vehicles
must also bring their valid Massachusetts
Drivers License. (read

- FREE HOLIDAY PARKING
METERS - AIMS TO GIVE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS
A BOOST - Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr,
and Parking Clerk Paul Kelly are happy to
announce the traditional holiday Parking
Meter Amnesty will continue. From December
14th to January 4th all parking meters in
the city will be free of charge. The Mayor
encourages everyone to consider Everett’s
businesses first when choosing holiday shopping
destinations.
- NEW VISITOR PARKING
PLACARD PROGRAM AVAILABILE IN JANUARY
- Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. and Paul Kelly
the City’s Parking Clerk announce
the availability of a new One Day/ One Time
Visitor Parking Placard for residents. The
2010 version of the City of Everett’s
Resident Sticker Program will be revised
to allow each resident the opportunity purchase
a placard for $5 dollars. (read
